We gather weekly to experience the joy in life and to be with others who understand the challenges of dementia. We help each other to be ourselves and not 'just a carer'. Below are just some of the activities we do as a group. The list is by no means exhaustive and we welcome new ideas. What we have learnt is that these activities have proved very valuable in dealing with dementia and help to bring our lives togther. Every one of our activities and events are inclusive, and you are welcome to bring your loved one along. For insurance purposes, we ask those bringing a person with dementia to sign a disclaimer taking full responsibility for them. If you would like to join one of our activity sessions please give us a call on the number on our contacts page or use the contacts form so that we can cater for your need on the day.
Other Halves Solos have evolved as a group of people who are newly on their own and are seeking ways to build a new life without their partners. Caring for many years and then saying goodbye can make one feel lost and even more alone. Watch our site for further information on future trips.
We aim to publish details of the coming 3 months events when we're allowed to meet again. Clicking on the relevant month will open a document showing the full details of each event. Close the document down and return to the website by clicking on the browser back arrow
