What we like to do

We gather weekly to experience the joy in life and to be with others who understand the challenges of dementia. We help each other to be ourselves and not 'just a carer'. Below are just some of the activities we do as a group. The list is by no means exhaustive and we welcome new ideas. What we have learnt is that these activities have proved very valuable in dealing with dementia and help to bring our lives togther. Every one of our activities and events are inclusive, and you are welcome to bring your loved one along. For insurance purposes, we ask those bringing a person with dementia to sign a disclaimer taking full responsibility for them. OH Solos

Other Halves Solos have evolved as a group of people who are newly on their own and are seeking ways to build a new life without their partners. Caring for many years and then saying goodbye can make one feel lost and even more alone. Watch our site for further information on future trips.

Our Events and Get Togethers are scheduled but we fully recognise and support the need to remain vigilant with safety whilst Covid remains within our daily lives.
